Well done to Amy Patterson from Mulwaree High School who has won the Singer/Songwriter competition with her original composition “Beneath The Tree”. Amy’s song will be performed in the second half of the show and we all look forward to hearing what INSPIRES her!
All of the entries were of very high quality and all entrants should be extremely pleased with themselves, they will be be receiving a certificate of congratulations very short
Congratulations to Daniel D’Amico who sent to the Creative Team his original composition “Alive”, along with his entry for the Singer/Songwriter competition. In listening to this beautiful song, which has a significant message about reconciliation and is also Daniel’s Aboriginal Studies Major Project, the Creative Team who write the show have decided to open Southern Stars 2012 “INSPIRE” with it. It is Daniel’s last year with Stars after participating for 8 years and he is one example of the inspirational young people we have the privilege to teach. Well done.
The Teachers Meeting will now take place at Smith’s Hill High School.

The Southern Stars show for 2012 is titled “INSPIRE”, and to fit the theme we are looking for talented young musicians/songwriters to enter an ‘original composition’ competition.
The winner of this competition will perform in the last segment of the show titled “ACHIEVE”.

Thankyou to staff, parents and students who braved terrible wet conditions to join us at the Meet and Greet at Moss Vale High on Sunday.
In particular thanks to the Creative Team who spent the whole of Sunday working together to ensure that the writing of the show remains on time.

We are very excited about the quality of the show and look forward to again watching the marvellous growth and progress of the students throughout the year.
